What we can do

Glazpart today is a unique business having evolved since its inception in February 1985 into a diverse tool room, injection moulding and surface finishing business.

We utilise the latest technology to deliver a diverse range of injection moulded plastic products and services.

We have developed a unique “One stop shop“ offering the complete plastic parts service from product and tooling design, tooling manufacture and injection moulding capability. Right through to surface decoration, component assembly then bar coding and labelling if required.

Consistently, when our customers visit our factory the feedback is “we never knew you could do that ..!” This web page aims to provide an overview of our capabilities which continue to develop and grow on almost a daily basis.

Product Design

Glazpart’s services start with our technical and engineering teams. Here, we support customers in the design, development and production of your concepts and ideas. The team assist in ensuring products meet your design and performance criteria whilst optimising production costs at the quality level you need.

To that end, Glazpart have invested heavily in the latest CAD/CAM software giving us an in house design facility with 2D and 3D software packages to ensure responsiveness, adaptability and accuracy.

Our expertise extends well beyond our proprietary product ranges into the design of custom products. Recent projects have seen our engineers replace costly metal components with engineered injection moulded replacements saving our customers thousands of pounds a month.

Rapid design is possible with SLA and 3 D printed sampling of finished design concepts being made available for fit and function assessment.

Tool Design and Manufacture

Here is one of the great benefits of working with Glazpart. Our engineer’s work with your designers and engineers to optimise design, prototype then we can also manufacture the injection mould tooling.

Therefore we have total control throughout this complex process, utilising either our in house tool room Hanley Precision Tools or from a select group of sub-contractors around he world all working to Glazpart’s exacting production standards.

Injection Moulding

Once tooling is available either manufactured or transferred. Glazpart offer an Injection Moulding capability provided from a range of more traditional and state of the art all electric tie barless injection moulding machines from manufacturers such as BOY, NETSTAL and ENGEL.

All of which are monitored continuously shot by shot to maximise product quality and production efficiency.

Quality
Glazpart are proud of our ISO rated quality management system. You can be assured of the highest levels of accuracy and quality, all supported by the latest CMM measuring machines linked to mini tab reporting and analytical software.

Twin Shot
This recent development adds a highly technical capability to our range of product services. This delivers an efficient means of moulding 2 materials rapidly in the same product. Whilst, eliminating any need for over moulding.

Clean Area
This facility adds another string to the bow for Glazpart customers. Injection moulding is offered from within a Class 10,000 rated clean area environment should your product require it.

Inside this clean environment dedicated machines operate with automatic and robotic handling machines and a dedicated computerised quality machine.

The dedicated team at Glazpart are well versed in delivering your product concepts and ideas. Using the broad scope of resources at hand we manage your project as a single source from design to delivery.

Real Time Production

All our machines are linked 24/7 to our production scheduling system. This allows for quick machine changes as your customer’s demands change.

Our raw materials are fed directly to the machines where they are closely monitored in real time. Then as your product passes through our factory it is bar coded and tracked at each stage from raw material and moulding through to booking out for shipment.

This provides for full traceability, indeed our customers can even monitor progress of their products and stock levels on line using our web direct system. With this service package you can manage all your products and account from your desk, where ever that is!
