Glazpart is pleased to confirm two new appointments to its senior management team with Deborah Roberts joining as Head of Procurement and Chris Mahoney appointed Technical Sales Director.

Deborah started her career in procurement operating as a buyer in the electronics sector before moving to manufacturing where she has headed up procurement departments for companies in the aerospace, medical and automotive sectors. Since 2020, Deborah has operated in the plastic injection moulding sector, leading on procurement and supply chain management.

On joining Glazpart, Deborah commented, ”I’m delighted to join Glazpart at such an exciting time. As Head of Procurement, I’m looking forward to developing and strengthening our procurement function, working closely with both our internal teams and supply partners to build a robust, aligned supply chain that delivers real value and supports the continued growth of the business.”

Starting out in process engineering, Chris Mahoney has extensive experience and a formidable senior management background in technical and business development in the automotive industry where he was worked with renowned car brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Mini and Nissan. Since 2018, Chris worked as an Operations Director for a plating on plastics company, driving growth in moulding (up to 1100T) incorporating tooling, alongside value added secondary processes (plating, painting and assembly).

On his appointment, Chris commented, “I am pleased to join Glazpart and look forward to developing the technical and bespoke side of the business. Glazpart is pleased to announce a renewed sponsorship agreement with Glazing Summit.

Glazing Summit is the leading annual conference for the UK’s fenestration supply chain and this year’s event takes place on Thursday 8th October at the Coventry Building Society Arena when over 300 leaders, from across the glass and glazing sector, will come together for a day of networking and debate.

As Premium Sponsors, Glazpart will enjoy promotion in the build-up and throughout the event as well as hosting a display stand in the exhibition and refreshments area.

Glazpart will also be represented in the conference’s debates with Dean Bradley, Glazpart Director of Sales – Fenestration, part of a Technical Clinic panel debate titled “Are you future-proofed?”. Along with other industry experts, Dean will address the challenges of evolving building regulations bringing tighter compliance, new standards, and more complex performance requirements. Glazpart is pleased to announce the launch of the AluVent.

Following the successful launch of the Bi-Fold Vent in 2025, Glazpart continues its focus on the aluminium sector with the AluVent – a new range of trickle ventilators designed to meet the needs of today’s market growth in aluminium windows and doors.

Manufactured specifically for aluminium fenestration, the AluVent is versatile with a sleek design that allows it to be frame or sash mounted, where its low profile sits seamlessly and unobtrusively on the window or door, making it aesthetically pleasing.

The AluVent range is an evolution of Glazpart’s trickle vent portfolio in response to industry feedback from companies in the aluminium window and door sector – a market that Glazpart is committed to by delivering innovative products.

Made from low carbon aluminium, the AluVent extrusions are produced using partially recycled billet which is certified and fully traceable with up to 25% recycled aluminium content.

The AluVent is fitted with a foam strip on the inside of the vents closure plate which reduces cold spots, helps seal the rout and improves the noise reduction performance in the closed position.

The vent is designed to be fitted on either a 13mm or 10mm rout height. Available in 3 sizes, the AluVent’s performance will meet the background ventilation room rates as defined in building regulations (Approved Document F – means of ventilation). Equivalent Area (EQA) is used instead of free area for the sizing of trickle ventilators as it is a better measure of a ventilator’s air flow performance.

Among several unique features, the AluVent comes with ingeniously designed profile end caps that clip into the grille, locking it into position and so avoiding separation from the aluminium profiles (lid or canopy) and allowing for screw fixing to the profile.

With aesthetics in mind, the AluVent is powder coated aluminium with RAL colour matched end caps as well as traditional black and white, which are fitted easily in place without the need for any tools. There is also an unassembled mill finish option so you can powder coat your own specific colour.
