It has been announced that Glazpart, the glazing industry’s leading component supplier, has been nominated in three categories for The Installer Awards 2025, with recognition for:

• The Link Vent 4000 for Best Technical Innovation
• The Glazpartners initiative for Best Installer Customer Support Programme
• Dean Bradley, Sales Director for Outstanding Achievement

The Installer Awards recognise the important contributions of the glazing industry’s installers and suppliers of installation products and services. The three nominations are welcome recognition for Glazpart’s significant progress in 2024 – a year that has seen record sales of Glazpart’s Link Vent product range and with 40 companies now signed up to the Glazpartners initiative.

On hearing the news Dean Bradley, Glazpart Sales Director commented:

“We are delighted to be nominated for three awards that recognise our outstanding work both in product innovation and in our customer support marketing in 2024.”

The Link Vent 4000 with its smart design and vast colour range has proved to be a valuable addition to Glazpart’s trickle vent range. Its ongoing success is a result of Glazpart’s proactivity, innovation and investment to help companies comply with the 2022 changes to Building Regulations Approved Document F (ventilation) and the incoming Future Homes Standard in 2025.

The Glazpartners programme has also been a great success since it was launched at FIT Show  2023 and is gathering real momentum with more promotion planned for FIT Show 2025 in April.

Dean Bradley adds, “We now have dozens of companies throughout the UK signed up to the Glazpartners programme which not only develops stronger collaborative relationships but also supports and promotes Glazpartners’ brands through multi-channel marketing.”

Dean Bradley also shared his thoughts and feelings on being nominated for an individual award for “Outstanding Achievement” which recognises not just the last year but achievements and contribution to the industry across an entire career.

Dean commented, “On a personal level, I am both surprised and delighted to be shortlisted in the Outstanding Achievement individual category. However all the nominations reflect the work of the entire Glazpart team which has been outstanding for many years and any individual credit must be shared with them. Best of luck to all the finalists, we are very much looking forward to attending the awards event in Manchester in March.”

To meet the regulatory requirements, window and door manufacturers often have to work with suppliers to find the best solution that is not only compliant but also provides a finish that meets homeowners’ expectations. A good example of how collaboration works best is illustrated by Quickslide’s forward thinking to develop the Modular Vent working in partnership with Glazpart – the UK’s leading glazing components manufacturer.

Based in West Yorkshire and operating from state of the art facilities in a 150,000^m2 space, Quickslide has supplied installers UK wide with some of the best windows and doors on the market for over 20 years.

Quickslide’s high quality products and flexibility to cater to homeowners’ bespoke requests give them a real edge in the market but it is their innovation for which they are renowned. Two decades ago they introduced the affordable traditional styled vertical sliders made from modern materials that offered both high thermal efficiency and security.

Quickslide use Glazpart’s award winning Link Vent for all their products except for their PVCu Vertical Sliders, a product which the fabricator is very much synonymous with! The Legacy PVCu Vertical Slider is Quickslide’s flagship product and one, on which they have built their reputation.

When it comes to vertical sliders, fabricators face an additional challenge to get full compliance at the same level as casement windows while retaining the classic heritage looks. Quickslide offers ‘heritage without compromise’. Which means offering the best in industry-leading standards of performance in an authentically styled traditional window.

In partnership with Glazpart, Quickslide developed a bespoke vent solution for their Legacy VS range to enable all their welded vertical sliders of more than 1055mm in width to carry 12,000 EA in a single window, meeting the Building Regulation (Approved Document F) requirements for ventilation in England, Wales and Scotland.

Glazpart’s Modular Ventilator provides trickle ventilation in accordance with the Building Regulations Approved Document F1.

The product has undergone a radical redesign to improve the performance and aesthetics of the product and to bring it in line with the latest regulatory changes introduced in June 2022.

As part of the review, the vent is also available in a wider range of colours and finishes.

The product is specifically designed for “Through Profile” PVC-u applications using a 19mm routed slot. All ventilators are “Clip” fixed with the advantage of rapid fitting to profiles.

The unique feature of the modular vent is the potential to assemble the ventilation EQA you need by clipping the modules together before fitting to the windows.
